Challenge

As we all know, today's complex environment requires us, as human beings, to be flexible and creative in adapting to and coping with the adverse situations facing our societies.

From the effects of climate change, war and migration, to burn-out, pandemics and rising prices, the list goes on...

In this context, FRIDHA is betting on two levers to help generate value-creating social dynamics.

* Artistic expression, particularly dance

* Regenerative agriculture

First challenge: The integration of these worlds, of artists on the one hand, and permaculturists on the other, with that of institutions and finances, is sometimes difficult to achieve because the styles, cultures and ways of expressing themselves are undeniably different. However, we are convinced that bringing worlds together can increase overall performance while providing benefits for everyone.

Second challenge: Calls for contributions too often outstrip the supply of people and organizations with the capacity to get involved. They also overwhelm the public sector and the associative world which cannot act alone without additional impetus from each of us.

Solutions
Our network, full of contacts and experience of our members, is a trusted network offering opportunities to put people in contact to bring ideas brought to life and grow by individuals and teams. Above all, these are “human” encounters: we translate needs, we create bridges and we open windows. We circulate ideas and also money.

More than thirty initiatives have been supported since 2018, committing a total amount of 200,000 euros, or 40,000 euros per year. Building on its accumulated experience, the FRIDHA team continues its efforts to bring together new investors, clients and/or partners and thus diversify its sources of financial income.

In order to bring together the network and make value-creating dynamics possible, FRIDHA organizestwo cultural and social evenings per year - early November and early June – with the aim of bringing together its members and guests of honor in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere, and launching calls for curiosity and contributions around different initiatives corresponding to a defined societal challenge. These evenings are supported by our network of artists who present a quality artistic performance. They are the opportunity to meet people, launch calls for contributions and raise funds around different initiatives corresponding to a defined societal challenge.

Our campaign highlighted this fall 2023 - “Together, let's dance the world of tomorrow” - brings together two initiatives dedicated to supporting, through dance, young people facing adverse contexts in order to give them hope and resilience. Whether it is adolescent girls incarcerated in Mexico or young people in vulnerable situations in the unstable context of Burkina Faso, we are committed to supporting our network partners who carry positive messages and mobilizing dynamics. We want to support them and learn from them to be able to subsequently replicate these experiences in Brussels where there is no shortage of needs.

Come discover them during our next fall evening on November 9!
